Welcome to the Smoky Hill Museum

Each time you visit the Smoky Hill Museum, a new story inspires you. Family and kid-friendly interactives, changing exhibits, and fun family activities are among the Museum's highlights - all free of charge. The Museum Store offers Kansas cards, wheat weaving, specialty-food items, toys and more.

Our Wonderful Sponsors

Special thanks go to our exhibit and case sponsors. The Museum is able to continue its strong exhibits and educational programming through their generosity. Interested in sponsoring an exhibit? Contact Kay Quinn at kay.quinn@salina.org.

In recognition of Museum board member Ada Marie Wood, who passed away in October 2013, the Friends of the Smoky Hill Museum chose to underwrite the Education case. Wood was a joy and encouragement to many. Her smiling face was often seen in the Museum Store or at the Friends-hosted Opening Receptions, welcoming long-timers and new guests alike.

Among sponsorship opportunities available are those featuring pioneer settlers, the mercantile and home life. Such a venture is easy for a family, foundation, civic group or church to do.
