June First Thursday The Civil War in Kansas

The soil of Kansas has nourished plentiful wheat and strong men and women, has absorbed the rain and the last words of fatally wounded soldiers, and it holds the memories of hard-fought Civil War battles. Join the popular and engaging speaker, Dr. Merle “Boo” Hodges, as he shares about some of the Civil War skirmishes and battles fought on the dark, fertile soil of Kansas.

This free presentation will be offered at the Smoky Hill Museum, Thursday, June 5, 5:30-6:30pm.
